Minimally invasive laser therapy of venous insufficiency

ELVeS® Radial®

Is stripping still up to date?

During the radical procedure of vein stripping, diseased veins are pulled out of the leg through a skin incision. This kind of therapy often poses a threat to high-risk patients: When taking blood thinners, the blood clots slower. Thus, pulling out the diseased vein can result in heavy bleeding and hematomas.

The ELVeS® Radial® laser therapy offers a low-risk alternative to stripping. Even high-risk patients can be treated with this gentle procedure: The surrounding tissue is not affected, and the risk of bleeding is minimized.

The treating physician inserts the ELVeS® Radial® probe through a tiny puncture gently into the varicose vein. The probe then radiates laser light all around. When the probe is pulled back, it closes the diseased vein like a zipper. During treatment as well as afterwards the patient experiences only little if no discomforts at all.

With ELVeS® Radial®, your physician achieves excellent results with low risk – especially with high-risk patients.
